Important Notes

  • Sharing a transcript link is free and does not add users to your account.

  • Recipients of shared links do not need a Sonix account to view transcripts.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Sonix account.

  2. Go to your dashboard and open the transcript you want to share.

  3. Click the Share button (top-right corner of the transcript editor).

  4. Copy the generated link and share it via email, chat, or any communication tool.

  5. The recipient can view the transcript without creating a Sonix account, and you won’t be charged extra fees.

Common Issues and Troubleshooting

What should I do if the person I shared the link with says they can’t access the transcript?

The link should work anytime, as no additional settings are required to share it publicly. Please ensure that you are copying the correct link before sharing.

Will non-Sonix users be able to edit the transcript?

No. Shared links provide view-only access. Editing requires a Sonix account and an assigned editor role (which may incur fees).

Frequently Asked Questions

When would I need to pay extra?

If you invite someone as a viewer or editor in your workspace, it may increase your user count and require an upgraded plan.

Can I share transcripts with multiple people at once?

Yes. You can send the same shareable link to as many people as you like.

Do recipients need a Sonix account?

Not for shared links. They only need a Sonix account if you invite them directly as a user.
