Important Notes
Compressing a file permanently reduces the quality/size of the original media file stored in Sonix, but does not affect the transcript.
This action is irreversible. Once a file is compressed, the original high-quality media cannot be restored.
Bulk compression availability depends on your subscription plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will compressing a file affect my transcript?
No. Compressing only reduces the size of the stored media file. Your transcript remains unchanged and fully accessible.
Can I reverse compression?
No. Compression is permanent and cannot be undone.
Why don’t I see the bulk compress option?
Bulk file compression is only available on select subscription plans, including legacy Premium plans and current higher-tier subscription plans. If you are on a Standard Pay-As-You-Go plan, files will need to be compressed individually.
