Yes, we have a feature called "Auto-pause" that does just this!

When you start editing a transcript, the player will stop automatically. Once you stop typing (~2 seconds later), the player will resume playing. 

To enable Auto-pause, go to the PREFERENCES menu within any transcript and toggle the Auto-pause feature on.
