Step-by-Step Instructions
Upload your video file to Sonix and select the spoken language.
Edit and polish the transcript for maximum accuracy and readability.
From the ‘Subtitles’ menu, select ‘Split transcript’, then define character length, duration, and lines per subtitle.
Choose a subtitle preset based on how you want your subtitles to be formatted:
• Standard – A balanced subtitle format for general use.
• Streaming style – Uses tighter character limits and a more relaxed reading speed.
• Single line – Creates shorter, single-line subtitles, suitable for social clips and vertical video.
• By sentence – Creates one subtitle per spoken sentence.
• Per word – Displays one word at a time for a karaoke-style effect.
Depending on the selected preset, you can fine-tune subtitle settings, including:
• Lines per subtitle
• Characters per line
• Reading speed
• Maximum duration
• Pause target between subtitles
• Stacked words for the Per word preset
Click Split Into Subtitles to generate the subtitles.
