What is Sonix AI Analysis and how does it work?

This article explains what AI Analysis includes, how it works, and how it can be accessed or managed depending on your subscription plan.

Important Notes

  • New subscription plans (Core, Advanced, Pro): AI Analysis is included and does not require a separate add-on or activation.

  • AI Analysis is not counted against your AI Workspace hours.

  • AI Analysis is available on transcribed files directly within the Sonix transcript editor.

  • Usage is not tracked by hours or credits and follows an unlimited fair use policy. There is no customer-visible usage quota, and usage may be subject to internal limits.

  • Legacy Premium plan: AI Analysis is available as an add-on for $5 per month, which includes 20 hours of AI Analysis, and is not included in the Standard (pay-as-you-go) plan. Once enabled, the add-on renews automatically each month.

Step-by-Step Instructions

How to Enable AI Analysis for Legacy Premium Plans:

  1. Go to your Sonix account settings page.

  2. Look for the AI Analysis Add-on section.

  3. Toggle the Add-On Setting ON to subscribe, or OFF to cancel the add-on, then click ‘Save’

  4. Once enabled, the $5/month charge will be added to your billing, and 20 hours of AI Analysis time will be credited to your account monthly.

Using AI Analysis

Once your file has been transcribed:

  1. Open the transcript in the Sonix editor.

  2. Click AI Analysis from the top navigation bar.

  3. Choose the AI tool you'd like to use.

  4. Results are generated automatically and can be regenerated or customized as needed.

No additional setup or subscription is required.

Common Issues and Troubleshooting

Why don't I see the AI Analysis option?

AI Analysis is available only after your audio or video has been successfully transcribed. If your transcript is complete and you still don't see AI Analysis, refresh the page or contact Sonix Support.

Why isn't AI Analysis generating results?

Make sure your transcript has finished processing before running AI Analysis. If the issue persists, try refreshing your browser or contacting Sonix Support.

Do I need to manually enable AI Analysis?

  • New subscription plans: No. AI Analysis is included with all current Sonix subscription plans. There is nothing to purchase or enable separately.

  • Legacy Premium plans: Yes. The AI Analysis add-on needs to be enabled in your account before use.

Does AI Analysis consume my AI Workspace hours?

No. AI Analysis and AI Workspace are separate features. Using AI Analysis does not reduce your available AI Workspace hours.
